Rehabilitation center for dogs and small animals

ATTENTION:

From the new year 2022, we will be looking for new premises for the operation of rehabilitation in Havířov.

I look forward to seeing you at the rehabilitation center for dogs and small animals. What we offer, including massages, can be found at:

http://physiodogcenter.cz/

I offer several types of massages for your dog pets. Massage is a soft tissue therapy of the dog's musculoskeletal system that uses a combination of traction, circulation and compression techniques to the muscular system in order to eliminate muscle tension and pain. At the same time, it helps alleviate and regulate soft tissue injuries, helps speed up the regeneration of the affected area, removes psychological tension and improves local blood circulation.

Massage:
  • helps relieve muscle atrophy
  • eliminates stress
  • helps to remove accumulated metabolites in the soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system
  • prevents adhesions and mild fibrotization of muscle fibers
  • reduces the risk of muscle injury before exercise
  • an important element in convalescence and in the care of dog athletes

The most commonly used massages:
Reconditioning massage:

it is a total massage, dedicated to the whole body of the dog. The task of this massage is to contribute to the regeneration of the soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system, to remove muscle tension and to contribute to the regeneration of the dog's muscles. This massage lasts about 1 hour and is usually recommended once a week.

Sports massage:

is to prepare the dog athlete for the maximum possible performance before training or before the race. It is performed with vigorous and fast strokes with subsequent stretching of the muscles. This ensures a sufficient supply of blood to the muscles in a short time and at the same time activates the nervous system. This massage lasts a shorter time.

Therapeutic rehabilitation massage:

deals with increased muscle tension and pain, and also affects many other functional elements, such as poor posture due to shortened or weakened muscles. This massage focuses on specific problem areas of the muscular system and it is not necessary to pay attention to the whole body. The length of the massage is about 1 hour.

You can find the massage center at the Lískovka Veterinary Clinic in Frýdek-Místek or you can use this service in our kennel in Žermanice.

Qualifications:

Animal magnetotherapy

I use the M-Therapy Bio Torus LT-100 + UltiCARe LT-99 - low-frequency pulse magnet device for animal magnetotherapy. This device generates a magnetic field in two set therapeutic programs or with an adjustable frequency in the range of 2 - 72 Hz and together with other pulses and a set time creates optimal conditions for the treatment of animal health problems. This device is already used by 200 veterinary surgeries and clinics throughout the Czech Republic.

By means of a pulsed magnetic field, weak electric currents are induced in the tissues and these increase the membrane potential of the cells, which leads to their activation and ensures high therapeutic efficiency. With the help of magnetotherapy, the time of postoperative care is shortened and the consumption of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs has been reduced.

The effects of the low-frequency pulsed magnetic field have 6 basic treatment groups and effects:
  • Influencing metabolism
  • Improved blood circulation
  • Muscle relaxant effect
  • Accelerate Healing
  • Pain relief effect (analgesic)
  • Anti-edema effect (counter-flow)
  • When used properly, magnetotherapy has the ability to open up disturbed pathways to self-repair and self-regulation of the organism, because the organism has these abilities and any impairment of these abilities leads to disease.

For which diseases is magnetotherapy recommended?

It is especially recommended for the support of healing and regeneration of the musculoskeletal system, for rehabilitation and solution of long-term neglected orthopedic problems. It is used for tissue regeneration after exercise in athletes, to speed up metabolism after exercise and faster removal of emissions from overloaded areas and thus prevent possible injuries. It is also used in the field of wound healing after operations and accelerating the healing of fractures.

Other indications for magnetotherapy:
  • Degenerative joint disease
  • Spine pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Joint dysplasia
  • Muscle pain and tendon strain
  • Restoration of joint momentum
  • Postoperative healing support
  • Inflammation of the urinary tract and defecation disorder
  • Total regeneration of the organism

I am very happy and with a positive response from animal patients I use magnetotherapy with a combination of reconditioning massages in order to relax the animal and reduce musculoskeletal pain and thus speed up regeneration in the tissues and shorten the treatment time.

Price of magnetotherapy: 300 CZK / 1 hour

Price of complex therapy: 550 to 600 CZK / 1 hour
